CNC Mill Set-UP

Job Description

$21-25 DOE

7:00-3:30pm

Monday-Friday with possible OT (Contract to possible Hire)

CNC Mill Operator/Set-up (4 axis)

Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:

They must be able to understand technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions to determine the required setup procedures.

Machine Setup:This includes tasks like:

Loading and Securing Workpieces: Ensuring the material is properly clamped and aligned in the machine.

Tool Selection and Installation: Choosing the correct cutting tools and fixtures for the job and installing them correctly.

Setting Tool Offsets: Accurately setting tool offsets to ensure precise machining.

Programming: Loading and editing CNC programs for the specific job, making sure the program is correct and efficient.

Machine Operation:

Running Trial Machining: Performing test runs to ensure the machine and program are functioning correctly and producing parts to the required tolerances.

Monitoring Machine Performance: Observing the machine during operation to identify any issues or problems.

Quality Control:

Measuring and Inspecting Parts: Using precision measuring tools to verify that the machined parts meet the required specifications.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the machining process.
