Job Title: Tool and Die Maker or Apprentice Die Maker

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tool and Die Maker or Apprentice Die Maker at Carter Manufacturing Co. located in Moonachie, NJ. The Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing precision tools, dies, and fixtures, as well as setting up and operating machine tools for production. We are looking for an experienced or apprentice die maker.

Qualifications

Proficiency in operating machine tools and equipment

Knowledge of blueprint reading and precision measuring instruments

Experience in tool and die making and fabrication

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Technical diploma or apprenticeship in tool and die making preferred but not required

Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus but not required

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience preferred but not required

Someone who is willing to learn, mechanically inclined, and knowledgeable

Abilities:

Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions

Ability to prepare documents, production sheets and other related paperwork as required by our procedures

Ability to operate and repair tools, dies and operating devices that enables the machines to produce metal partsCompany Description
