Warehouse Inventory Manager

Job Description

Steelite International’s primary distribution center in New Castle, PA, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Inventory Manager to lead a team in ensuring inventory accuracy, FTZ compliance, and the effective optimization of warehouse space, storage, and workflow processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, uphold the highest safety standards, and drive operational excellence to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, a proven ability to lead and motivate a team, and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor the inventory team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Uphold company cycle-count standards by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and providing actionable feedback to ensure team success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with key departments, including Purchasing and Logistics, to ensure seamless communication and the efficient flow of products and services. Escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders when necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

Inventory Analytics and Reporting: Leverage inventory data to establish accurate ABC classifications, optimize pick-face zones, determine Economic Order Quantities (EOQ), and manage New Product Introductions (NPI). Maintain First-In-First-Out (FIFO) standards through regular reporting and actionable insights within the WMS platform, Snapfulfil.

Issue Resolution: Proactively investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and trends. Implement corrective actions to address product shortages, overages, damages, and misplacements, while keeping management informed of resolution efforts.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies, OSHA standards, and CBP regulatory requirements related to inventory management. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment through regular audits and timely implementation of corrective measures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.

Experience managing Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) is highly desirable.

3+ years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.

Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) (e.g., AccellosOne, Blue Yonder, Snapfulfil, or similar) and RF scanners.

Advanced analytical skills with a track record of implementing process improvements, reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency.

Deep understanding of safety protocols, industry regulations, and best practices to ensure a secure work environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with senior leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to be added to company insurance policy

Proficient in MS Office Suite

Previous experience with powered industrial trucks.
