Position Overview
As the Business Applications Manager you will manage the technologies that power our company and partner with a team of executive leaders to enable world-class business operations. The Business Applications Manager will enhance existing systems and develop new processes. Collaborating with business leaders, they will evaluate and improve current workflows, recommending solutions to boost efficiency, departmental collaboration, and customer satisfaction. This role is crucial to the Information Systems and Process Improvement group (ISPI), focusing on company-wide process reviews, system enhancements, and implementations.
Primary Responsibility
Leads the systems enablement efforts for the company by supporting business functions including Operations, Finance/Accounting, Fleet, Safety and HR organizations
Drives operational efficiency, implements best practices, and delivers high-performance systems while maintaining clean data to contribute to the overall growth and scale of the company
Partners with leadership to enable an effective system of metrics, tools, and processes to drive productivity, quality, and accountability
Translates business needs into systems requirements and implements necessary configurations or manage implementation partners to deliver requested functionality, with an eye towards simplification and industry standards
Conducts testing and training workshops, develops and maintains necessary documentation and training materials to drive end user adoption, productivity and independence
Ensures that system functionality, including new programs and features, are communicated to all impacted groups
Solicits feedback from business units on system and process gaps and requested features
Communicates ISPI roadmap and priority list to the organization, providing visibility to where requested modules or enhancements fall on the roadmap
Provides day-to-day support, maintenance, and improvement as needed for our ERP, Field Operations and Business Intelligence systems
Analyzes data within systems to ensure data quality and integrity and provide necessary reporting capabilities
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven track record in project management and systems and process analysis
Comfortable working with different audiences from field personnel to the executive team
Demonstrated expertise in business requirements gathering/analysis and functional and technical documentation
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business or computer science field of study or equivalent experience
3-5 years’ experience in process improvement using technological tools and solutions and with a continuous improvement mindset
5+ years’ hands on experience implementing, managing, or supporting the Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O platform
8-10 years’ experience in implementing or supporting business applications, in particular ERP systems
