Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Weekly Pay up to $40/hr (depending on experience)

Job Description

As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be primarily responsible for the construction of an oil rig. This involves assembling both mechanical and electrical components essential for the rig's completion. Your role will include ensuring the efficient operation of plant machinery and mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, conducting routine services and maintenance on new assemblies, and diagnosing equipment breakdowns and malfunctions. To excel in this role, you should possess advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and effective time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Install new mechanical equipment.

Service and maintain equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.

Inspect and assess the functionality of mechanical systems.

Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.

Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.

Fabricate parts for repairs and upgrades.Essential Skills

Mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics expertise.

Experience in industrial mechanical work.

Proficiency in working with hydraulic machinery.

Ability to disassemble and assemble industrial hydraulic machinery.

Testing and troubleshooting mechanical machinery.

Knowledge of 480v systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Electrician or on oil rig equipment/machinery.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.

Understanding of parametric and industrial control systems.

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

Basic computer and report writing skills.

Good communication skills.

Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.

Work Environment

The position is based in a custom fabrication shop in a small startup facility located in Waco. The work schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of working 10-hour days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Waco, Texas.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $40.00/hr.
