Join a dynamic team in a secondary machine shop in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania. Established in 1995, this facility specializes in precision machining services and is equipped to handle high-volume jobs with CNC lathes and machining centers. The company excels in grinding, drilling, tapping, milling, and slotting, offering trusted local solutions for secondary machining needs.
Responsibilities
Read a tape measure accurately.
Operate and monitor machines such as grinders, drills, CNC lathes, mills, and furnaces for efficient production.
Perform basic machine preventative maintenance.
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Assist with material handling and inventory management.
Collaborate with team members and undergo training to operate machinery effectively.Essential Skills
Ability to read a tape measure.
Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
Previous experience in manufacturing or production.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of production processes.
Experience with machine operation and inspection.
Understanding of blueprints and manufacturing techniques.

Work Environment
The work environment is not climate controlled, resulting in colder conditions during winter and warmer conditions in summer. The facility takes measures to mitigate these conditions with fans, heaters, and water availability. Expect a dusty and loud manufacturing environment, especially in the machining department. Shift schedules are as follows: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm) and 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:00am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Marys, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $14.00/hr.
