Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager (APM) for Shreveport, LA to join our dedicated team responsible for defining the project’s objectives and overseeing quality control of the project. In this role, you will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to the schedule while keeping within budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist Project Manager with managing financials, risk management, and client relations of

assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.

• Ensure company standards of safety and quality are adhered to by assertively championing our

safety culture to project team and subcontractors.

• Work collaboratively with Superintendent, project team members, and field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.

• Support the Project Manager in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.

• Monitor project progress and report on the status of key milestones.

• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members.

• Assist in reviewing contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Maintain and update project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and change orders.

• Address on-site issues and ensure timely resolution of any challenges that arise.

• Assist with procurement of materials and coordination of deliveries.

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• Four-year degree within the construction, engineering, or business concentrations strongly preferred

• 1+ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor

• Passion for construction and our industry

• Must demonstrate a strong ability to:

• Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on audience appropriate business writing and verbal skills

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry

• Gather data, interpret it into meaningful information, and relay that information through clear, concise communication strategies; ability to see how pieces and processes fit into and affect the bigger picture/business model

• Organize and manage tasks and priorities

• Adapt and exercise flexibility with the ever-changing world of technology, design, means and methods

• Collaborate with people of various backgrounds and styles

• Create and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
