CADD Technician / BIM Modeler

Pennoni is looking for an CADD Technician / BIM Modeler to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Delray Beach, FL. This person will be expected to contribute to our structural engineering & design consulting projects by creating models & deliverables for our clients by utilizing technical tools (especially Building Information Modeling software).

Primary Responsibilities:

Structural drafting using AutoCAD and structural BIM modeling in REVIT

Contribute to the development of structural drawings for submittal and production purposes.

Collaborate as part of a team to develop structural construction documentation; this includes working with internal team members as well as external clients / partners.

Create 3D models by utilizing relevant data.

Additional duties may be assigned, as needed. Required Attributes:

Required education: High School Diploma

Experience setting up base files

Minimum years of work experience: 4-7

Computer skills required: AutoCAD C3D; Microsoft

Basic understanding of structural materials and framing systems

Experience creating REVIT families

This person may be expected to work in the field as-needed, a Valid Driver's License is required. Preferred Attributes:

Associate's degree in Engineering, Structural Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus!

Professional experience working with development, design, and drafting for structural engineering projects.

Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, BIM, etc.); experience with Revit is strongly-preferred!

Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.

Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.

Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!
