About You:

We are seeking an extraordinary leader and multi-tasker to serve as a Program Manager (PM) for the Center for Advancing Science, Technology Learning and Engagement (CASTLE) in Chantilly, VA. You will have the exciting opportunity to manage a state-of-the-art innovation center that accelerates technology development through industry/academia collaborative technology ideation sessions, tech demos, partnership building, and workforce development. You will work closely with a team of analysts and collaboration specialists to analyze and report on relevant technology areas, conduct studies on historical and on-going technology development, identifying organizations or individuals of interest, and then leading the outreach to those identified for partnering efforts.

This position is a contingency hire based on a contract award

Duties/Responsibilities:

Apply leadership and program management, organizational ability, and communications to accomplish the required objectives of the program

Provide daily oversight and management of a facility in Chantilly, VA, including scheduling/staffing, financial management, and reporting to the customer

Participate in customer technology strategy discussions with the aim of identifying, documenting, and tracking key strategic and technological findings and program issues

Develop and maintain relationships with peers and external project partners in industry and academia

Support the VT-ARC STEM Project Manager when STEM activities are utilizing the facility and resources

Track and document key concepts to review, evaluate, and summarize relevant technologies and concepts Required Education, Certification, Skills, Capabilities:

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

At least 10 years of Project Management/Leadership experience within the DOD, particularly focused around technology advancement and challenge areas of the U.S. Air Force and its partner organizations

Ability to organize objectives and formulate plans and processes. Strong interest in technology and innovation project management

Strong interpersonal, teambuilding, verbal-, and written-communications skills. Excellent customer service skill to build positive business relationships with clients and partners

Must be able to obtain & hold a Secret clearance Desired Education, Certification, Skills, Capabilities:

Master of Science (M.S.) or Master of Arts (M.A.).

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Experience in reviewing documents and diagrams that capture key concepts, methodologies, results, and discussions of a technical nature in an organized manner

Experience in DoD acquisitions and budgeting

Active Top Secret clearance, not required Primary Work Location: Work is to be performed in Chantilly, VA

Special Work Conditions:

Possible travel to other CONUS locations

Occasional work outside of corporate core business hours Security:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain & hold a Secret clearance

Active Top-Secret clearance is desired but not required Salary:

$160,000-$170,000 ($170k max)/yr.
