Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 salary, plus annual bonus

Summary: Responsible for supporting development and implementation of a site reliability maintenance strategy, assessing short term reliability needs i.e. identifying critical equipment and spare parts, predictive and preventive strategies, supporting maintenance planning and execution for the ingredients facility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting the development and execution of a comprehensive plant reliability strategy.

Responsible for improving equipment availability and reliability through the implementation of the following processes: Continuous improvement and defect elimination through RCA (Root Cause Analysis); Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) through the implementation of condition-based monitoring, planned preventative maintenance and accurate maintenance practices

Implement condition-based maintenance technologies including vibration and oil analysis, IR thermography, ultrasonic testing and NDT

Responsible for defining PM and PdM procedures and frequency of implementation

Interface with Maintenance Planner to confirm that PM procedures and intervals are entered into CMMS and are consistent with asset performance

Interface with the Maintenance Team Leader to validate equipment performance, maintain and document all training requirements.

Provide periodic asset utilization accounting and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data

Initiate maintenance related small capital projects that result in improvement of process efficiency, upgrading of utility systems or improved operational safety

Maintain the mechanical integrity component of OSHA PSM including ITPM and training information.

Provide input into the selection of new equipment capable of providing improved operations and reduced downtime.

Support maintenance and engineering groups as needed.

Enforce all specific maintenance safety policies and procedures.

Oversee systems which constantly monitor 150+ pieces of equipment.

SAP and/or DeltaV experience is a big plus. Competencies:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred

Minimum 5+ years of engineering / maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant environment preferably with continuous operating equipment and discrete unit operation specifically with rotating components.

Specific experience with creation and implementation of reliability-based maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, IR thermography, oil analysis, NDT, PM, etc.

Proven track record of Continuous Improvement projects.

Ability to provide technical assistance to production for equipment operating problems.

Specific experience with the proper application of reliability-based maintenance of rotating components and other process equipment and instrumentation.

Ability to read and interpret processes, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation drawings from vendors and design engineers.

Knowledge of OSHA PSM ITPM component, RCA procedures and RCM. Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret statistical data, general business periodicals, professional journals, engineering diagrams, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees.

Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical and statistical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions. Ability to critically evaluate results, make recommendations and reports on projects.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Computerized Mechanical Maintenance Systems, MS Project software.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Ability to lead cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate equipment problems.
