Nature of Work

Under the direction of a Crew Chief, the seasonal laborer is responsible for the performance of assigned daily tasks for the care and maintenance of the City streets, lots, lands, utilities and infrastructure.

Essential Functions

* Performs daily assignments including:

- Safe operation of vehicles, machinery and equipment of which they are qualified to use.

- Manual labor tasks as assigned.

* Participates in organized or on-the-job training as needed.

* Performs all assignments using appropriate personal safety equipment and/or protective clothing.

* Takes initiative to identify and report problems to Crew

Chief.

* Offers suggestions for improved productivity and/or cost

reduction.

* Performs all other duties as directed by Crew Chief.

Minimum Requirements

Must be in high school or college.

Other

Comprehensive knowledge of equipment, machinery and vehicles of which they are qualified to use.

Ability to follow oral or written instructions and to direct the work of assigned community service workers.

Physical condition and strength to perform manual labor tasks including heavy lifting, loading and digging.

Possession of a commercial driver's license is desirable.

There are no benefits for working part time seasonally
