Join a team where you can contribute and progress your career as a PEMB Design Coordinator. Steel Nation continues to grow, and we are seeking a candidate to serve as an advisor while coordinating and managing design activity for all Steel Nation projects.

What you will do:

Verify building design and components are compliant with client’s requirements (PO).

Provide guidance to the Design Team so Coordination Drawings can be used to validate loading, openings, colors, etc.

Produce and update MBS (Metal Building Systems) Drawings during design phase so accurate PEMB quotes can be ordered for fabrication.

Assist in planning and design installations, including but not limited to structural elements, cranes, equipment, HVAC/ventilation components and more.

Communicate with Project Managers, clients, contractors, architects, equipment vendors, and other key partners.

Develop and execute client specific solutions.

Assist Estimating with Preliminary Design input for larger/ complex projects.

Review all designs for errors and omissions prior to construction.

What will make you a great fit:

Experience to include a minimum (5) five to (10) years’ experience with construction design

Strong construction knowledge including structure, foundation, erection, HVAC, interior buildout, electrical and plumbing trades

PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Building) design knowledge is required

Ability to utilize PEMB design software such as MBS and ACT

Working knowledge of CAD software; experience with Revit is a plus

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Excellent detail-orientation, multitasking ability, and organizational skills
