We specialize in producing high-quality components that meet the rigorous standards of the aerospace industry. We are seeking a skilled CMM Operator to join our quality assurance team and ensure our products meet exact specifications.
We are looking for a CMM Operator responsible for operating and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect aerospace components with high precision. This role requires a strong understanding of GD&T, metrology, and the ability to follow established inspection programs to support production and quality assurance processes.
Essential duties & responsibilities but not limited to:
Operate CMM equipment to inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy of aerospace components.
Follow pre-developed CMM programs and interpret inspection results.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to perform accurate measurements.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform basic maintenance and calibration of CMM machines to ensure accurate measurements.
Generate detailed inspection reports and document measurement data.
Identify and report any non-conformities or defects in inspected components.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes.
Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field is a plus.
2+ years of experience operating CMM equipment in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CMM programming software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar).
Strong knowledge of GD&T, metrology, and blueprint reading.
Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
Experience with manual and automated inspection techniques.
Knowledge of CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks) is a plus.
