Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist who specializes in hand lapping, primarily working with aluminum and steel materials, including some castings. The parts handled are typically up to the size of a car battery, utilizing machines such as Yamas and Makino.

Responsibilities

Perform hand lapping on aluminum and steel materials.

Ensure precision in machining, including working with various castings.

Operate and calibrate machines like Yamas and Makino.

Collaborate with team members to cross-train on different CNC machines.Essential Skills

Proficiency in hand lapping techniques.

Experience with machining aluminum and steel.

Ability to calibrate and operate Yamas and Makino machines.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing site equipped with 17 CNC machines and 5 conventional machines/grinders, including Royal and Laguna Republic. The role operates on the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with expectations for one hour of overtime and Saturday work. Embrace a team-oriented culture where mutual assistance is valued, and dress code includes steel toe boots, jeans, and non-offensive t-shirts/sweaters.

This is based in the Glenalde/Burbank areaPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
