OCTG Inventory Manager
East Texas (Relocation Assistance Available)
A premier supplier of high-quality Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee all inventory movement and accuracy within our state-of-the-art facility in East Texas. This is a rare opportunity to join a key player in the oil/energy sector, working with advanced inspection and testing capabilities while enjoying a collaborative, growth-driven work culture.
What You’ll Do
As the OCTG Inventory Manager, you’ll be responsible for accurately tracking and managing daily inventory movements, ensuring zero errors across the lifecycle of approximately 1,000–1,200 pipe pieces per day. You’ll lead the charge in maintaining flawless documentation and oversight of each process stage, including:
Receiving and racking of pipe from incoming flatbeds
Staging and routing to heat treatment
Post-treatment segregation (prime, rework/prove-up, scrap, mill second)
Movement through threading and final racking of finished goods
Outbound preparation and dispatch
This role demands extreme precision, disciplined execution, and a hands-on leadership approach.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
Extensive background in OCTG operations
Proven success in inventory management within a high-volume, detail-critical environment
Familiarity with pipe movement tracking and operational workflows in manufacturing or energy sectors
Technology:
Preferred experience with TDS (Tubular Data Systems)
OR advanced ERP systems with strong inventory and material handling modules (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, custom ERP)
Personality Traits:
Uncompromising attention to detail
Perfectionist mindset with zero tolerance for data inaccuracy
Natural leader who thrives in fast-paced, precision-driven environments
