Job Title: Aerospace CNC Machinist (Night Shift)

Job Description

We are looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join our team on the night shift. Our team handles 3D printing, design, fabrication, machining, prototyping, and tooling for the Aerospace and Automotive industries. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 3- and 5-axis mills, ensuring high precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate and write programs for 3- and 5-axis mills.

Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Program CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; prove part programs.

Set up CNC machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicate vices; trim heads.

Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhere to international standards.

Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions; troubleshoot processes; adjust and reprogram controls; sharpen and replace worn tools; adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.Essential Skills

5+ years of CNC experience (programming/setup & operate).

Ability to produce parts from blueprints/schematics (start to finish).

High precision experience (at least two years).

Aerospace experience (at least 6 months).

Flexible with schedule.

Heidenhain experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Haas Machine Experience

Experience with Heidenheim OR FIDIA Controls.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $66560.00/yr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Utica,MI.
