Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Finishing/Shipping Foreman to oversee a team of five individuals. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage both direct work and scheduling responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise a team of five people, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.

Directly manage 50% of the work, while dedicating the remaining 50% to scheduling tasks.

Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, utilizing hand tools and equipment.

Communicate effectively with outside companies to facilitate shipping and receiving processes.

Provide necessary information and requests to the office manager to ensure smooth operations.Essential Skills

Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with preventive maintenance and repair.

Proficiency in using hand tools and operating a forklift.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work with pneumatics and hydraulics.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external partners.

Work Environment

This role operates Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility to work up to 45 hours if necessary. The position is salary-based, allowing you to leave once tasks are completed. The work setting involves hands-on mechanical tasks, requiring interaction with various tools and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Canton, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
