Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Sales and Service Operations Manager to lead engineering services, field operations, and business development efforts across our industrial services division. This position plays a pivotal role in managing projects, leading technical staff, and cultivating client relationships in industrial and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of engineering knowledge, operations management, and client development experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction for engineering and service projects.
Oversee project scoping, estimating, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost controls.
Manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality and timeline standards.
Lead post-project evaluations and implement improvements.
Enforce engineering best practices, conduct regular project audits.
Team Development & Leadership
Lead, coach, and manage field teams, technical staff, and contractors.
Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance management of engineering personnel.
Develop internal talent through mentorship, ongoing feedback, and formal reviews.
Maximize team utilization and operational efficiency.
Business Development & Client Success
Serve as a technical point of contact for pre-sales and customer-facing efforts.
Support proposal development, costing, and solution design.
Cultivate relationships with regional clients, distributors, and suppliers.
Provide monthly financial reporting and forecasting for leadership.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and local industry events.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Growth
Drive efficiency improvements across engineering operations.
Implement new tools, methodologies, and processes for team success.
Proactively identify new service opportunities and market expansions.
Required Qualifications:
8–10 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing operations, project management, and/or technical sales.
At least 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
Strong understanding of industrial environments and engineering systems.
Background in business development, technical estimating, or client service.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (preferred).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and CRM software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
