Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Description
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the HVAC Technician will join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance, efficiency, and maintenance of our refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure proper temperature control for food production and storage.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring rapid response and resolution while maintaining compliance with food safety standards.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support production needs.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company safety protocols.
Maintain detailed service records and recommend system improvements or upgrades.
Assist in troubleshooting with OEMs and other industry experts.Essential Skills

3+ years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration, preferably in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
EPA certification and/or HVAC trade school certifications.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations as needed.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a food manufacturer that follows strict GMP guidelines. Employees must adhere to a no jewelry and no make-up policy. The order selector will work in a 40-degree refrigerated environment all day.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, New Jersey.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46.50 - $49.60/hr.
