Job Summary: Mercury Systems manufactures PCB for the aerospace and defense industry.
This is a great opportunity for an intermediate level experienced Solderer to perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
This person will demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiative in your daily activities, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written.
This position is 2nd shift and the hours are 2:30pm - 12am.
Job Responsibilities Include: * Perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
* Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiative in your daily activities, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written.
* Install, assemble, and inspect electronic components during product assembly, per documented work instructions.
Interpreting Job Routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
* Performing a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.
* Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
* Using hand and/or power tools and, jigs.
* Modifying, soldering, reworking, repairing assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
* Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.
Required Qualifications Include: * High School Diploma or GED and ideally 3 - 5 years related experience preferred.
* Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
* Electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount), rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly preferred.
* Must be able to work for extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch-ups.
* Hand soldering experience is required.
* Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
* Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
* Able to work 2nd shift - 2:30pm - 12:00am Preferred Qualifications Include: * IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certifications.
* Experience using HAKKO, MetCal or JBC.
* Experience doing leaded and/or lead-free soldering.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs.
