Responsibilities

Lead engaging worship services on Sundays and special events, selecting appropriate songs that align with the church’s vision and themes.

Coordinate weekly rehearsals, ensuring that all team members are prepared and confident in performing their respective roles.

Collaborate with pastoral staff to plan and implement creative worship experiences that enhance spiritual growth and community connection.

Mentor and develop worship team members, providing opportunities for their musical growth and leadership skills.

Maintain and oversee all musical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in good condition and suitable for worship use.

Encourage congregation participation in worship services by creating an inviting and uplifting atmosphere through music.

Stay current with contemporary worship trends and musical styles to bring fresh ideas to the worship experience.

Requirements

A deep personal faith and commitment to the mission of the church, demonstrating Christian values in all aspects of life.

Proven experience leading worship in a church setting, showcasing strong vocal and instrumental skills, preferably in guitar or keyboard.

Ability to read music and teach songs to various groups, making worship accessible to singers of all skill levels.

Strong interpersonal skills, fostering relationships with team members and the congregation to create a cohesive worship environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring clarity in conveying vision and direction.

Experience in sound engineering or knowledge of audio/visual equipment is a plus, enhancing the quality of worship services.

A flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to the needs of the congregation, spiritual themes, and special events.
