Purchasing Warehouse Clerk Full Time Irvington, VA Job title: Warehouse Clerk Department: A&G Basic Function: Responsible for receiving and distributing incoming and outgoing products.
Ensure products are stored properly and distributed properly.
Maintain quality control of all products being received.
Work Performed: * Receive all goods and ensure quality is up to the Chef and Resort standards.
Ensure all invoices match the received items daily.
Report any discrepancies to Executive Chef and Purchasing Manager.
* Maintain the receiving area and warehouse in an orderly fashion as directed.
This includes sweeping, mopping, and rotation of all products.
* Rotate stock using the FIFO method.
(First in, First out) * Report inventory discrepancies to Executive Chef and Purchasing Manager.
* Enter all requisitions into the most current inventory software.
* Process internal transfers.
* Oversee and monitor packages received.
Distribute to the final departmental destination.
* Ensure all perishable products are labeled and dated when received.
* Assist with all other projects or duties assigned by the Tides Inn Management Team.
Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Purchasing Manager Responsibilities: * Ensures proper quality and quantity of purchased items that are received.
* Ensures security of items in all areas received and distributed.
* Maintains confidentiality of all vendor quotes, inventory levels, and all other information regarding the Tides Inn.
* Maintain good communication with Purchasing Manager, Clerks, Chefs, and all other Tides Inn Employees.
* Organization and sanitation of receiving area and store room.
* Process internal transfers * Represent the department and resort in a positive manner.
* Prepare for various weather conditions and storage temperatures.
Example: Extended periods of time in a refrigeration or freezer.
Minimum requirements: Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Communication skills, computer knowledge or willingness to learn.
Previous receiving experience preferred.
Prior food and beverage or hotel experience is preferred.
