Due to this transaction, and the anticipated growth, the Company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role within the accounting team, supporting the Corporate Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations.

Senior Accountant duties include a variety of accounting functions including, entering month-end journal entries as well as completing other month-end close procedures, reconciling balance sheet accounts, fixed asset as well as lease accounting and general ledger maintenance.

A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, solid communication skills, a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and advanced Excel proficiency.

Annual Salary: $75,000-$90,000 Key Responsibilities •Perform daily, monthly, and annual general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.

•Lead and coordinate the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

•Support cash management processes, including cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and monitoring daily cash activity.

•Maintain the fixed asset system, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.

•Ensure proper accounting and reporting of leases in accordance with ASC 842.

•Oversee the accounts payable processes and issue AP checks.

•Assist with financial statement preparation and internal management reporting.

•Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording.

•Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.

•Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and internal control initiatives.

•Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller.

Qualifications & Competencies •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or Masters in Accounting a plus). •CPA designation or progress toward CPA is preferred.

•3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a transportation, distribution, or railroad-related industry.

•Strong understanding of U.S.

GAAP, including lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed assets.

•Experience with month-end close processes and cash management.

•Proficiency with accounting software (experience with ERP systems like NetSuite & MS Dynamics, preferred). •Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and complex formulas.

•Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

•Ability to prioritize workload, with minimal direction, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

•Self-motivated and a team player with a “can do” attitude.

•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
