WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Radiology Technician for a local contract job in Brooklyn, New York.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Radiology TechnicianDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hoursEmployment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Radiology Technologist for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Brooklyn, NY Job Function: \n Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain images as requested by the physician.\n\n Set up, operate, and maintain equipment according to established policies and procedures.\n\n Effectively explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.\n\n Maintain all equipment, ensuring safety and proper functioning for procedures; assess and ensure the physical and physiological comfort of the patient.\n\n Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by adhering to radiation protection techniques.\n\n\n \n \n\n Job Requirements: \n1 of General Radiology Technologist experience required.\n Knowledge of radiologic equipment used at BHMC preferred.\n\n Preference for candidates with 6 months to one year of x-ray or radiologic experience.\n\n Graduate of an accredited radiology program.\n\n ARRT certification required.\n\n BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.\n\n\n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
