PRIDE Health is seeking a local contract Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) for a local contract job in San Juan Capistrano, California.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS)Discipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 05/12/2025Duration: 26 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, eveningsEmployment Type: Local Contract Key Responsibilities:Perform moderate to high complexity clinical tests with accuracy and minimal supervision.Prepare reagents, media, standards, and controls; evaluate their effectiveness as needed.Evaluate specimen acceptability and determine calculated results using manual or automated methods.Accurately enter and verify test results; ensure adherence to turnaround time standards.Review and release routine and complex test results; respond appropriately to critical or unexpected results.Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.Conduct and evaluate instrument performance checks, QC testing, and calibration procedures.Document and respond to QC deviations and initiate corrective actions.Perform and document proficiency testing per regulatory requirements.Maintain proper tracking and labeling of all reagents and supplies.Adhere to all safety, environmental, and infection control policies.Participate in continuing education and maintain licensure.Provide supervision and training to unlicensed staff as required.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.Assist with evaluations of new methods, procedures, or instrumentation.Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
