Overview
This is more than your typical shipping and receiving role! We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team and become a key player in our warehouse operations. In this position, you'll not only handle standard shipping and receiving duties but also gain valuable skills in building ground cables and handlines, essential equipment for lineman work. You'll also learn to operate our glove testing machine, ensuring the safety of critical equipment. Additionally, you will assist customers at our will-call window. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is detail-oriented, and is eager to learn specialized skills in a niche industry.
Responsibilities
Receiving and accurately stocking incoming products in assigned locations
Preparing and shipping products through various carriers, ensuring timely delivery
Verifying and maintaining accurate shipping and receiving paperwork
Unloading steel trucks and organizing steel materials in designated areas
Pulling parts for work orders and distributing them to shop work areas
Pulling inventory parts and delivering them to work-in-process areas
Ensuring work orders and picking sheets are accurate and accompany picked parts
Assisting in resolving inventory discrepancies
Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, including operating an electric floor scrubber
Learning to build ground cables and handlines according to specifications
Learning to operate and maintain the glove testing machine
Assisting customers at the will-call window
Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Ability to pass a drug test, including THC screening
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to learn and apply new technical skills
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Willingness to learn about lineman equipment and its applications
Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00AM - 4:00PM)
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly
