Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively to communicate Unity Bank’s brand and messaging to promote the long-term growth of the Bank through various processes and projects. This will include executing effective marketing strategies, assisting with campaign development, and analyzing the effectiveness of each campaign.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Content Design: Assist in managing in the creation, editing, appearance, production, and distribution of all Bank publications internally and externally (social media, advertisements, brochures, letterhead, business cards etc.) from the initial concept to finished product and execution.
Creativity: Participates in brainstorming and developing new ideas and innovative approaches for creative and compelling marketing campaigns
Communication: Develop and execute innovative ways to communicate the Bank’s desired image both internally and externally.
Collaboration: Collaborate across the organization and regularly seek input regarding the quality and effectiveness of the Bank’s marketing products, services, processes, and projects.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze the current marketing collateral to identify and improve current processes when needed.
Administration: Manage the Bank’s website, online and offline marketing assets, customer communication, and Bank’s internet, updating all communication to employees and customers. Contribute to the development and achievement of the annual marketing calendar and budget.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in marketing, communications, and public relations and identify opportunities for process enhancements. Conduct market research and analyze data to identify customer needs, habits, and trends.
Digital Optimization: Optimize website content for search engines to increase visibility and organize traffic. Use SEO best practices in content development, including keyword research, metadata, internal linking, and accessibility standards. Monitor and improve search rankings and user experience across platforms.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
Reporting: Create and maintain monitoring systems and report on performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activities, goals, and objectives and make recommendations for product and service enhancements with customer experience in mind.
Community Involvement: Along with management, plan and execute bank wide community initiatives including but not limited to volunteer opportunities, school partnerships, financial literacy, etc. Take an active role in key civic and community events/organizations to develop and maintain local relationships.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years marketing and communications experience.
Proficient in graphic design software and Microsoft Suite.
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields preferred, or equivalent working experience required.
Work Environment: Collaborative, trust-based, transparent, supportive, and comfortable community atmosphere. This position may include opportunities to travel across our footprint, working with customers, community members, and our Unity Team.
This position may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
