Description
The Operations Supervisor/Manager will have direct management and development of operations associates responsible for various business functions in connection with providing support for Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto and Liability claims included but not limited to claim registrations, mail queues, clerical requests/tasks, customer service and other operational functions that may be assigned. We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated strong capabilities in people management, training, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
The Operations Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for:
Alignment of team members’ business goals to ESIS’ organizational goals.
Ensuring effective execution on the part of direct reports for their assigned functions.
Providing appropriate training to team members to support current and changing business needs.
Creation and implementation of improvement plans at an individual and team level.
Advanced planning to ensure adequate coverage. Identifying risks and working proactively with team, manager and peers to mitigate those risks.
Identifying opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to improve processes, and effectively presenting such recommendations to various stakeholders for buy-in.
Relationship-building and collaboration with various departments to ensure effective execution of various functions and/or special projects.
Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Role requires occasional travel for trainings and meetings as required/approved by management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2 years of managing direct reports
Ability to motivate and excel in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication
Excellent customer service and support skills
Ability to learn quickly and effectively transfer knowledge to others
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to analyze and recommend solutions based on data
Background in Claims or insurance preferred but not required
Background in Insurance specific to Commercial Auto and Liability claims along with Workers’ Compensation claims preferred but not required.
