Job Description
Purpose
Under general supervision, the Paint Prepper performs a variety of support duties in the Paint Department.
Essential Job Functions
Clean, mask, and sand units in preparation for painting
Unmask units, clean and load spare parts on units after drying process is completed
Spray sanding primer using spray gun
Load and unload spare parts, tools and boom hose from trucks. Move slurry parts to final prep areas and/or paint booth.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or modified either formally or informally, either in writing or verbally at the discretion of Management.
Requirements/Physical Demands: Perform work on the production floor 100% of the time
Lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
Education/Skills/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years' experience as a detailer at a paint and auto body shop preferred.
Strong Attention to detail
Certified forklift operator or ability to pass Schwing training
Ability to follow processes
