DuPage Credit Union is excited so share that we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Consumer Lending Associate to join our Consumer Lending Team!

In this role you will be focused on providing exceptional service to members throughout the loan process, from application to disbursement.

The Consumer Lending Associate is responsible for providing exceptional service to members by conducting loan interviews, processing applications and ensuring timely disbursement of approved loans. They will cross-sell loan and savings products to meet the members’ needs while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and compliance through the process.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting Loan Interviews: Engage with our members to understand their financial needs.

Process and Review Loan Applications: Accurately enter loan details into the system, ensure all required documents are collected.

Coordinate Loan Closures: Work with the team to schedule and facilitate loan closings, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and provided in a timely matter.

Provide Member Support and Follow Up: Address member inquiries, resolve any issues, and provide ongoing support throughout the loan process, ensuring great member experience.

Provide Financial Guidance: Educate our members about the various loan options, products and services that will help them make an informed decision.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in Financial Services or Lending: At least one year of experience in consulting with members on financial decisions, with a strong understanding of general lending compliance and processes.

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with members, explain loan options, and resolve concerns in a clear and professional manner.

Strong Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately enter and review loan applications, ensuring all documentation is correct and compliant with lending policies.

Member-Focused Approach: Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service, offering thoughtful solutions to member concerns and maintaining a positive, helpful attitude.

Ability to Multi-Task in a Fast-Paced Environment: Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and stay organized while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency
