Job Description
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions. Their duties include providing administrative assistance to accountants as well as preparing statements that confirm the accuracy of database information.Compensation:
$48,000Responsibilities:
Support the real estate team and staff accountants with various accounting functions as needed
Communicate with vendors, partners, and internal staff to ensure timely payments and accurate financial records
Process accounts payable daily, verifying the accuracy of invoices and expense reports
Review and reconcile agent billing discrepancies
Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems for proper recordkeeping
Serve as backup for processing commission checks
Reconcile commission payments and Realtor accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
Manage daily processing of incoming wire transfers
Maintain and update transaction software and related spreadsheets
Act as the primary point of contact for agents, responding to inquiries via email and phone
Oversee data and contract management to ensure regulatory and internal compliance
Contribute to various accounting department projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
Able to write and speak with vendors and clients effectively
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Has used software daily in previous positions to accomplish daily tasks
Familiarity with a HUD closing statement is a plus
