A publicly traded, national leader in heavy industrial manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Manager to join its corporate environmental team in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on ensuring environmental compliance across multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities, with a strong emphasis on major source air permitting (Title V) and regulatory reporting.
This is a senior-level position reporting to the Vice President of Environmental, ideal for candidates with a strong background in metals, automotive, steel, or related heavy industries. Youll serve as a key technical advisor across business units, guiding compliance with complex environmental regulations and leading permitting and reporting efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee environmental compliance across multiple industrial facilities nationwide, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead Title V permitting processes and compliance programs for major air sources.
Provide subject matter expertise in air emissions, including RATA testing, compliance testing, and emissions reporting.
Manage environmental reporting including:
EPCRA TRI and Tier II
Solid and hazardous waste reporting and management (state and federal)
DMR submittals for water compliance (monthly, quarterly, and annual reports)
Support site teams through audits, permitting applications, and environmental program development.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed and stay current on evolving environmental laws and policies.
Serve as the internal leader for environmental best practices, process improvement, and risk mitigation strategies.
What We're Looking For:
510+ years of environmental compliance experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing sectors (e.g., metals, steel, automotive, etc.)
Strong technical expertise in:
Title V air permitting and emissions compliance
EPCRA, RCRA, DMR reporting
RATA testing, stack testing, and permit renewals
Proven experience working across multiple facility types and engaging with regulatory bodies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate regulatory language into actionable plant-level processes.
Ability to travel up to 50% across U.S. sites; hybrid work structure in place when not traveling.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
Knowledge of state-specific environmental requirements across various U.S. regions.
Local to the Dallas, TX area or willing to relocate (local candidates only at this time).
