Responsible for supporting the implementation of food regulatory requirements set forth by FDA, customers and other regulatory agencies as applicable.
Review and approve product labels ensuring compliance with labeling regulations (e.g.’ ingredient statements, allergen and nutrition labeling)
Perform internal audits to ensure food safety programs, identify areas of improvement, ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
Assist in regulatory, customer, organic, Halal, Kosher and GFSI certification audits (BRC).
Lead and participate in employee trainings on food safety programs.
Support compliance with HACCP, GMPs, Food Defense, and preventive controls)
Generate and maintain accurate documentation and records related to regulatory compliance and food safety programs.
Manage customer complaints program including investigation and communication to customers based on investigation.
Support sanitation program by overseeing SOPs, trainings, and performing procedures as needed.
Complies with OSHA and company safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams to support daily tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
