Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Programs is part of the Program Management Office (PMO) leadership team and will have an instrumental role in ensuring the success of the team and of the programs that we execute. The candidate will directly manage one or more flight programs, ensuring customer satisfaction, execution to cost and schedule, manage risks, and deliver high quality products. They will mentor other PMO members and provide guidance and oversight to programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Cost, schedule, risk management and customer interface

Working alongside a Lead Systems Engineer who will manage technical execution

Management duties and responsibilities, including mentoring of other PMs

Ability to support travel or off-site work, as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years, or graduate degree and 10+ years, of applicable experience

PMP Certification

Experience in managing government programs of a technical nature including OTA and FAR-based contracts with multiple CLINs.

Strong financial management and planning skills

Deep knowledge of Government contract types (including OTA and FAR based)

Experience managing product development programs, including design, development, procurement, prototype and production elements

Exemplary oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Familiarity with Earned Value Management

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or engineering

Electronic systems experience

Active US Government Security Clearance
