Hemlock Public School District is excited to welcome a dynamic and committed Elementary Assistant Principal to join our Huskie Pack and help shape the future of our Pre-K-5 students.As our Elementary Assistant Principal, you will:

Cultivate a Culture of Belonging and Growth: Support a nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Support Instructional Excellence: Collaborate with teachers and instructional staff to implement developmentally appropriate and academically rigorous curriculum and instructional practices. Champion evidence-based approaches in early literacy and numeracy to ensure every student builds strong foundational skills.

Use Data to Drive Student Success: Assist in analyzing student performance data to identify trends, inform instruction, and develop targeted interventions that support learning for all students. Monitor early literacy and math benchmarks to ensure readiness for upper elementary learning.

Foster Strong Relationships: Partner with families, staff, and the community to build trust and encourage active involvement in our students' educational journeys.

Promote Professional Growth: Help mentor and support educators by promoting professional learning, reflective practice, and continuous improvement across the building. Support implementation of the reading science and conceptually rich early math instruction through coaching and collaboration.

The ideal candidate is a warm, energetic, dedicated educator passionate about early childhood and elementary education. You bring experience in curriculum implementation, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting academic and social-emotional growth. Youll be a key part of a collaborative leadership team, working under the guidance of the Elementary Principal and in coordination with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to uphold district goals and support a positive school climate.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate (or willingness to obtain) with Elementary Certification.

Successful classroom teaching experience.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work in close partnership with the Elementary Principal to lead both buildings as a cohesive and unified leadership team
