Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Operations Manager for the Kansas City Airport Marriott in Kansas City, MO
Job Purpose:
Plan and manage the following functions of the hotel (Front Office and F&B) to achieve customer (guest, employee, corporate and owner) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Position is responsible for short- and long-term planning and day-to-day operations of the above areas in the hotel. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Front Office and Food and Beverage department.
Acts as Evening Manager on Duty
Recruit, manage, train and develop the Rooms team.
Ensures the guest satisfaction levels and monitor guest service scores, comments, and social interactions to provide continuous improvement.
Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel.
Ensure security and safety for the hotel’s assets.
Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers.
Ensures Hotel policies and procedures are adhered to.
Assists Guest Service Manager, Director of Front Office and Assistant General Manager with the execution of hotel objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
Previous Front Desk Supervisor - 2 years' experience
Previous Food and Beverage Supervisor Experience
Marriott experience preferred
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
An experienced focused service Rooms or Food & Beverage Supervisor or Manager, with at least 2 years of leadership in hotel operations
Working knowledge of FSPMS, Marsha, ADP, M3 and Marriott brand standards.
Knowledgeable in financial statements and budget including staffing guidelines.
Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service results as measured through guest satisfaction
Great at developing, and/or implementing policies, procedures and systems to improve business operations.
Able to embrace property safety programs to include training, reporting and incentives.
Display initiative, perseverance and analytical skills
Engaged, authentic, and prepared to positively impact performance for a "best in class" hotel

Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
