Job Description
Agile Project Manager and New Product Developer
Location: Southfield, MI (On-site only)
Department: Strategy & Innovation
About EPIC Health
EPIC Health is not your typical healthcare organization. We're a mission-driven, innovation-forward team redefining care for the frail, the vulnerable, and the people who care for them. We believe the future of healthcare lies in thoughtful service line development, agile operations, and relentless improvement. That’s where you come in.
Position Summary
We’re looking for an Agile Project Manager and New Product Developer to lead the charge in developing and launching new healthcare service lines—not software. From concierge programs to chronic care pathways, you’ll work across disciplines to turn great ideas into operational realities.
You’ll blend Agile methodologies with entrepreneurial spirit and project discipline. Your role will touch every phase of product lifecycle—from discovery and testing to launch and scaling—and your impact will be seen in the lives we improve.
What You’ll Do
Service Line & Project Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams in designing, testing, and scaling new service lines.
Apply Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) to healthcare operations and service innovation.
Serve as both Scrum Master and Product Owner, creating user stories, managing backlogs, and driving sprint delivery.
Own and iterate on service line roadmaps from MVP to full-scale rollout.
Strategic Execution
Run pilots, A/B tests, and iterate quickly using voice-of-customer and frontline input.
Use Lean and Agile principles (like X-Matrix or Hoshin Kanri) to align cross-departmental goals.
Translate big-picture ideas into workflows, timelines, KPIs, and real results.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with clinical, operational, IT, and executive leaders to define service goals and success metrics.
Facilitate sprint ceremonies and workshops with diverse teams (medical, marketing, admin, finance).
Ensure alignment with compliance, patient safety, and business objectives.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Use KPIs, sprint velocity, burn-down charts, and customer feedback to drive performance.
Monitor and report on service line impact—financial, clinical, and operational.
What You Bring
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Agile Certifications: CSM, CSPO, SAFe Agilist, or PMP with Agile experience.
Experience
5–10 years managing Agile or Lean projects in healthcare, operations, or business services.
Experience launching and scaling new services—not just managing projects, but building real programs.
Exposure to value-based care, population health, or integrated service models is a big plus.
Skills
You can move from vision to execution without skipping a beat.
Proficiency in tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, or Miro for Agile project tracking.
Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach—you’re a builder, not just a planner.
Ability to lead through influence, coach teams, and navigate complexity with clarity.
