What You will Achieve:
With our continued growth in the Transmission & Distribution sector, we are seeking a Lead Transmission Engineer. You will be involved with a wide range of challenging and high-impact transmission projects from greenfield line development and storm hardening to renewable energy interconnections and voltage upgrades.

Some of your responsibilities include the following:
Lead the design of overhead transmission lines including route selection, structure and foundation design, conductor/optical ground wire hardware selection, and line layout.
Perform detailed engineering and analysis including PLS-CADD modeling, structural loading, clearance checks, and material specifications.
Develop engineering deliverables such as plan & profile drawings, structure loading trees, bill of materials, and construction packages.
Technical lead for transmission line projects, coordinating with civil, environmental, and substation teams.
Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of the transmission engineering team through technical guidance and training.
Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting; contribute to proposals and business development as needed.
Collaborate directly with clients, utilities, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
10+ years of experience in transmission line design engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE/TOWER, LPILE, MFAD and other transmission design software.
Solid understanding of industry standards, and regional utility design practices.
Transmission project types that are a plus:
Greenfield transmission line development
Line rebuilds and reconductoring
Voltage upgrades (e.g., 115kV to 230kV)
Storm hardening and resiliency projects
Renewable energy interconnections (e.g., wind, solar, battery storage)
Utility asset relocation or joint-use projects

The salary that we expect to pay for this position is commensurate with experience, licensure, education, skills and location and may range from $140,000 to $180,000 annually. Please connect with us for more details.
