Overview
We are currently seeking an Estimator to provide estimating services for rail and civil construction projects. This position is located in Queens, NY.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
Prepare Project level Cost Estimates
Prepare and maintain Project Level Estimates through various stages of a project, representing the total project scope
Utilize various estimating sofware products
Develop estimates for the comparison to bids received
Perform site investigations
Attend required project and staff meetings
Develop estimates for Value Engineering change proposal reviews
Support the client in contractor and engineering negotiations
Qualifications
Min 2+ years’ experience in Cost Estimating
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology related field, or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of Railroad Construction practices is preferable but not required
Experience with review of Drawings and Contract Specifications
Must be able to effectively communicate, possess good interpersonal skills and meet deadlines
Full knowledge of computer applications as it relates to Estimation-Hard Dollar or equivalent and MS Office

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment
Compensation: Minimum: $80,000; Maximum: $135,000
The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate’s qualifications and location.
The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
