BIM/CAD Designer

A well-established contractor located in New Castle, DE is seeking a CAD/BIM Specialist to join their team. This person will work within the Design Build Department to provide support to all phases of modeling/detailing for project estimating, development and execution.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop BIM structural models and CAD drawing files based on engineer's notes, sketches, and directions.

Operate 3D and 2D modeling software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, etc.

Coordinate BIM structural models and CAD drawings with other building design team disciplines, including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, and Landscape.

Prepare complete and accurate structural drawings, including checking and coordinating details and dimensions.

Analyzing BIM designs, creating take-offs, editing designs, working with departments Engineers, Estimators and BIM Coordinators.

Perform ongoing reviews of structural models and drawings, checking for accuracy and completeness.

Accurately estimate the time required for assigned tasks and manage time appropriately

Adhere to all standards and procedures, and assist in developing new standards, procedures, and standard details as required.

Follow company file management, file transfer, and data security procedures and protocols.
