JOB SUMMARY
A Process Engineer is responsible for preparing estimates for customer requests for quotes (RFQs) and supplemental routing procedures (SRPs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Participates in performance improvement activities with the manufacturing teams as needed.
Provides technical support for manufacturing, material, and subcontracting in the post-PO phase.
Completes estimates using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which includes detailed routing and a detailed bill of materials.
Sends RFQs to vendors for material and/or subcontracting operations to complete quotes.
Conducts engineering reviews for the contract review process, which compares POs and quotes technical requirements as needed.
Maintains part hierarchy and drawing/revision number documentation and prepares SRP.
Reviews engineering change request reviews.
Reviews customer change requests, evaluates cost and delivery impact, and notifies the business development team as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or 2+ years of experience in process engineering, estimating, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensional and tolerancing (GD&T).
Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) and computer-aided design (CAD) experience.
Strong computer literacy, written and verbal communication, and project management skills.
Strong teamwork skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in computer numerical control (CNC) machining.
3-dimensional modeling experience.
ERP experience.
Controlled-unclassified information (CUI) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) experience.
Powermill experience.
Siemens NX experience.
