Technical Lead - Software Engineering

Akoni Technologies is hiring on behalf of a client who is seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical strategy and development of their digital platforms.

About the Role - Key Skillset Required

7+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.

Proven track record in designing and delivering complex, large-scale web applications and services.

Strong foundation in both frontend and backend technologies, with deep expertise in modern development practices.

This role is not just about coding — it requires a seasoned Tech Lead who can take ownership of both high-level architecture and hands-on software delivery.

Technical Proficiency

Advanced skills in JavaScript and TypeScript for full-stack development.

Expert in Node.js, React, and frontend architecture patterns.

Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, including hands-on experience with services, cloud architecture, and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation or similar).

Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (EKS/ECS).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing).

Strong grasp of RESTful API design, security principles, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
