Description:

Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within scope of responsibility.

Assists the Radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes to the patient that may alter exam protocol and performance.

Verifies that all images are on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with appropriate paperwork scanned in and distributes exam for interpretation to appropriate radiologist at completion of exam.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree in Radiologic Technology

Certification Requirements:

Radiographer, North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (Prior to Start Date)

Radiographer, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (Prior to Start Date)

Computed Tomography, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (Prior to Start Date)

Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) (Prior to Start Date)

Experience:

Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers orally or by intravenous injection (IV) the correct diagnostic or therapeutic dosage and completes all required records.

Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
