SUMMARY
The Tool Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating and tracking tool assets and materials for Kent Power crews and projects. This position will work directly with operations that facilitate the maximization of resources (human and equipment) to achieve safety, quality, productivity, schedule adherence, and financial goals while adhering to our core values and delivering on the mission statement of Kent Power.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Organize and prepare tool requests from Foremen, General Foremen, Division Managers, and Project Managers. Maintain regular contact with employees requesting tools and materials via email, phone, or text.
Issue to, track & receive tools from end-users
Acquire new and used tools on an as-needed basis, with approval.
Maintain inventory levels by communicating clearly and often with Supervisor. Maintain tool room inventory valuation tracking, as required by ISO standards.
Utilize CMMS inventory control system to track tool asset status in the field and in-house.
Maintain and keep current tools that require calibration, including rubber gloves and sleeves, per ISO standards.
In-house testing of specified tools, manufacture of replacements if applicable
In-house repair of tools when applicable, coordinate outside repair of tools as needed.
Ensure return to the shop of all broken tools when they are replaced in the field and determine repair status. Coordinate repair of tools as needed.
Periodic field and in-house audits of company tools.
Act as a champion for all Kent Power initiatives, processes, and programs.
Ensure that all facilities, including tool room, outside storage, back lot, and shop are kept well organized.
Perform required monthly inspections. Fire extinguishers, lifts, etc.
Facility maintenance as required, including, but not limited to furnace & AC maintenance, light bulbs, etc.
Driving & transporting equipment and other driving as necessary
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a shop area, which can be exposed to varying temperature conditions. On job sites, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position may be performed in outside weather conditions as necessary. In addition, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
One year of related experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Forklift experience
Class B CDL or better, air brake and manual trans endorsements
