Description
Our Front Desk staff are the first point of contact for customers & the friendly face of the Club. You are integral to both the operation of the organization and the effort to fulfill our mission! The daily interactions with our regulars, combined with the interfacing you do with new prospects who walk through the door, are the first piece in building a welcoming place where people can build community and enrich their lives through wellness, education, & fun.
An ideal Front Desk staff person will build connections with Samena's members & guests with a personal touch, thoroughly understand our programs and policies, and process registrations & transactions efficiently and precisely. You would be a great fit if you are an outgoing people-person, flexible & adaptable, and comfortable with technology.
Shift start/end time and length vary, generally flexible schedule (with advanced notice). Shifts vary between 4 - 7 hours each, between the hours of 4:45am-10pm weekdays, 6:45am-8:30pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide excellent customer service.
Check-in and greet members and guests for reservations, programs, and general facility use.
Register customers for classes, programs, membership, and services in a comprehensive registration software system.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of Club programs and policies in order to serve as an information desk for members & guests.
Organize and maintain a filing system, record and receive inventory, and keep form, marketing materials, as well as concessions and retail items, stocked and readily available.
Respond to phone calls, emails, and requests for information.
Balance a till and closeout transactions from the day accurately and efficiently.
Walk around the Club to give tours and explain membership information.
Provide administrative support for other department managers as needed.
Work well with others in a team setting.
Maintain a clean/safe environment.

Ability to display friendly, helpful service to members and guests while maintaining professionalism and competency on the job.
Ability to quickly learn and memorize a wide variety of policies, procedures, and program information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable and proficient with technology and computers.
Ability to multi-task and be resourceful.
Responsible and dependable team player with the ability to work independently.
Maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk around the facility; use hands to type; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
