Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses

Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments

Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients

Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures

Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields

Ability to build rapport with patients

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Walnut Creek Psychiatry is hiring in our Ames location. We want to serve the mental health needs of Story County and surrounding communities. We offer services to individuals across the lifespan. Walnut Creek Psychiatry aims to improve the well-being of individuals affected by mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, ADHD, autism, and schizophrenia. We offer neurocognitive testing, screening for autism, and ADHD screening. We strive to partner with individuals for wellness and success, academically and socially.
