Title: Precast Estimator

Location: Astatula, FL

Salary: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00

Job Summary:

The Estimator will be responsible for estimating duties which include recording precast concrete material types and quantities, preparing accurate cost estimates based upon company standards and guidelines, writing proposals and qualifications that are job specific, and submitting cost estimates for bidding.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

· Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.

· Maintains complete and accurate estimating files and bid log as directed by the company.

· Preparation of detailed quantity takeoffs

· Obtain pricing for materials.

· Obtain bids from subcontractors.

· Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable.

· Develop updated costing for current jobs under contract.

· Building relationships, showing leadership and collaboration

· Attend departmental meetings as required.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

· 4-year college degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

· 1+ years of project experience (ideally in Precast, Steel and/or Concrete industry)

· Knowledge of how to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

· Experience in the fields of cost estimation

· Great analytical skills

· Ability to pay close attention to details.

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

· Proven ability to monitor project costs, perform cost analysis, and prepare project reports.

· Advance knowledge and skills in MS Office, Word, Excel, Access, and internet applications

· Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam and 3D modeling software such as Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk, or BIM preferred.
