he Senior Cost Analysis Engineer will provide basic cost estimating and product cost management support to internal stakeholders including engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will conduct cost analyses and help identify cost reduction opportunities throughout the entire product life cycle from concept through development, production, and field operations.
This position supports Bell’s Future Vertical Lift team and is based at Bell’s Ft.
Worth, TX headquarters facility.
Position Responsibilities: Performing varied simple to moderate analyses of aircraft systems including preparation of parametric, analogous, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates Supporting design trade studies and cost reduction initiatives throughout the product life cycle Supporting supplier engagements with “Should Cost” analysis of aircraft systems Evaluating part manufacturing processes for cost out opportunities Establishing cost targets and reporting cost performance metrics for integrated product teams Evaluating costs of equivalent supplier products for best value Preparing Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) for proposal evaluations Promoting standardization of cost engineering best practices across Bell programs Position Requirements: 2+ years of experience in a wide range of estimating activities is preferred but not required Prior experience working with U.S.
government customers is preferred Specific knowledge of one or more cost estimating software systems (TruePlanning, aPriori, SEER, etc.) is preferred Aerospace and Defense experience in new product development, production, and sustainment is preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required Strong writing and presentation skills required Education Requirements: bachelor’s degree in engineering, Accounting, Economics or Business
