Senior BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) Sector is currently seeking a Financial Analyst Senior, to add to the Material & Inventory Management (MIM) Finance Team. The candidate selected for this position will be supporting a cross functional team responsible for maintaining compliance to our Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS). This candidate will be responsible for inventory controls, reporting, and audits of over $1B of inventory, while engaging with multiple sites, functions, and program teams across the sector. This unique position gives an opportunity to see how BAE Systems functions from both a financial and operational perspective.
This role can be performed in a full-time remote format. There will be occasional in-person meetings with programs, sites, or the broader Program Services Tools and Training (PST&T) Team which may require travel.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform monthly inventory account reconciliations and disposition variances in a timely manner
Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through the management of forecast releases with finance leadership
Analyze financial exposure related to company inventory to ensure sufficient funding is available to support the business
Monitor and enhance Inventory Metrics to address risks and opportunities for improvement
Utilizing data analysis, develop and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiencies and eliminate non-value add activities
Gain exposure to Senior Management through project initiatives such as new tools and processes
Provide monthly executive level presentations on Inventory KPI’s (Aged Inventory, Project Closeout, Residual Material, etc.), and assist in regular internal and external audits
Support Finance, Operations and Program teams through informal and formal trainings and Learning Sessions
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain procedures and their financial impact to the business

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience
Proficient Microsoft Office skills –Word, Power Point, Excel
Ability to work independently, self-motivated, process/results oriented
Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written across multiple functions and leadership levels
Familiarity with DFAR, FAR, MMAS, and general Inventory policies and procedures
Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
Experience within internal controls, audit and/or accounting
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience – formulas (ex: VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF), PivotTables, Filters, etc.
