Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Java & Web Technologies opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location: Onsite in Phoenix, AZ or NYC, NY

Duration: 7 months

Duties:

Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based applications and web technologies to support enterprise-level business functions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software components.

Build and maintain scalable data integration solutions using Big Data ETL processes and frameworks.

Work with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to develop and deploy data pipelines and microservices.

Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices and standards.

Document development processes and support application lifecycle management.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in Java, including object-oriented design and modern frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, etc.).

Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and Angular or React.

Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and ETL processes.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and design.

Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

5+ years of hands-on application development experience using Java and related web technologies.

3+ years of experience with Big Data ETL tools and data warehousing environments.

Previous work with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
